On Judgement Day,
a poem by William Thomas Dodd
On judgement day they did decide, Who had lied when being tried? The crowd looked on petrified, They watched in vain as Jesus died. By the twelve He’d been denied. No one there at His side,
Crucified then glorified, Looking on the angels cried, Mortal beings satisfied, Sins of man nullified? By are shadows mummified, Manifest far and wide, Too late now to turn the tide,
Now you have nowhere to hide, Are you really satisfied? Have your souls been pacified? Have you heard of woe betide? On judgement day He will decide. |
