These are the last two pictures of the series that I painted, my last words on the subject, so to say. It is a return to the ‘projections’ of
the decade. But now instead of projecting into our present and our future, the 40s are only projected onto the past, at the beginning of the century, and ‘furthur’, as Ken Kesey might say.
